Luton – 3 Is The Magic Number

The number THREE seems to be a very prominent number as we reflect on the win, yesterday, against Blackpool.

Gathering my thoughts after the game, the realisation that we are sat in THIRD place with just five games to go, was enough to send me to the public house for a celebratory pint or combination of THREE.

But whilst we were sat in the pub, our little group got together to try and discuss the last time Luton Town scored THREE goals in an EFL Championship game.

Now, if our thoughts are correct, the last time we scored THREE goals away from home was on 29-December-2022 when we beat Queens Park Rangers 3-0, with the goals coming from Carlton Morris (2) and Alfie Doughty.

As for when we last scored THREE goals in a home EFL Championship, we concluded that it was on 15-October-2022 again against Queens Park Rangers with the goals, in a 3-1 win, coming from Elijah Adebayo, Cameron Jerome and Luke Freeman.

Here’s hoping, in the final run in to the season the Hatters can score FOUR goals in an EFL Championship game for the first time this season.
