Ahead of the fixture against Burnley, in the EFL Championship, I did mention that it would, quite probably, be our hardest game of the season so far.

Burnley arrived at Kenilworth Road having taken an impressive 31 points out of the last 33 available.

Some teams could have been daunted by such a statistic, but the Hatters were not.

Luton went toe-to-toe with the league leaders and could, on another day gotten the three points, or at least a draw.

It wasn’t until the 80th minute that Burnley edged ahead, courtesy of a penalty that some may have thought was harshly given.

Once ahead, Burnley’s game-management ensured they took the three points back to Lancashire, but whilst the home support may have been disappointed, perhaps we can take heart from the Burnley supports view on our performance, with some very complimentary remarks left on social media:

Not sure about some of the spelling / grammar in those social media posts but fair play to the Burnley support for taking time out to commend us and I’d like to wish them luck for the remainder of the season but, with them being so far clear at the top, I’m not sure they need it!

Onwards and upwards, it’s a trip to Birmingham next week for us, let’s get back to winning ways.

Morning mh, no complaints about the penalty.wish Lockyer had kept his mouth shut.it now puts us in a difficult position for next week defensive wise. Thought a draw would have been fair.but as usual or poor finishing let us down.hope the injuries to dremheh an marvelous are not serious an they were taken off as a precaution. But as I said yesterday is the honeymoon over.
