Fingers Crossed for the Pitch!

The big question is whether the Kenilworth Road pitch will be fit enough to hold a fixture, against Hereford United, on it this Saturday.

For the last two Saturday`s Luton have been thwarted, by water-logged pitches, in their ambitions to play football. Games against Dartford and Tamworth both fell victims foul of the inclement weather.

Luton have done everything they can to get the fixture on with pitch covers being hired in. Removal of these covers has seen the pitch described as wet but playable and the covers will remain off in the hope that the pitch can be further dried out today.

But with another Atlantic storm heading this way, with some torrential rain, the plan we understand is for the covers to go back down and to remain in place for as long as possible.

Let`s hope it is a plan that works!
