Luton go to Turf Moor in search of a big finish to the season and for revenge for an unfortunate 2-3 reverse at Kenilworth Road. Ade Akinbiyi scored all three Burnley goals but I can safely say that will not happen again as he moved to Sheffield United in the transfer window.

Vital Quotes:

It is important that we put in a performance on Sunday, because we owe ourselves that. We owe ourselves a performance, because last week wasn’t good enough.

teve Cotteril told Burnley’s official website:

You can always take a defeat, but it’s the manner of the defeat that’s the concern. That is what we have got to look to put right against Luton. We have got to look at putting last weeks performance right, and if we do that, we have every chance of winning the game.’

On lutontown.co.uk Mike Newell said:

‘We will be trying to win the game – I don’t know about Burnley. We go out and try to win every game and we want to finish as high as we possibly can.

‘There will be plenty of supporters travelling to Burnley on Sunday and we owe it to them to try and put on the best performance we can.

We battered Burnley earlier in the season and probably created better chances in the first half when they had 11 men. We got hit a couple of times on the break and them going down to ten men never really helped us.’

Burnley Team News:

Burnley have doubts over Phil Bardsley and Chris McCann but otherwise Steve Cotterill has a full complement to choose from.

Player to watch: John Spicer

Caused us problems at Kenilworth Road on the field, before going in goal and caausing even more!

Luton Town Team News:

Luton skipper Kevin Nicholls could make his first start since his knee ligament injury after coming through a cameo last weekend and a reserve match on Wednesday.

evin Foley should return, but Russ Perrett, Chris Coyne and Markus Heikkinen are all doubtful. With Leon Barnett still the only recognised central defender fit, Steve Howard may deputise again in defence.

Player to watch: Carlos Edwards

Will be looking for some good form to take to the World Cup.
