Despite fielding a strong side, the Hatters had to be content with a draw against the EFL Championship’s bottom team in the FA Cup 3rd round.

After Wigan Athletic took the lead, early in the first half, Luton proceeded to produce a disjointed
display that belied their recent form in the opening forty-five minutes.

The second half, though, was better with Rob Edwards juggling his team at half time and it was no surprise when Harry Cornick equalised with a neat header.

Bossing the game, Luton pressed for a winner but it wasn’t to come and the home support, among the 5660 crowd had their hearts in their mouths when, deep into stoppage time, Wigan appeared to have snatched the tie, thankfully, the referee’s assistant had his flag up for offside.

So a draw it was and the two sides will meet again on 17th January.

But, among the few posts I could find about the game, it is not a trip many fancy, as the following posts illustrate perfectly:

However, it does provide me with the perfect opportunity to play the ‘guess the attendance’ game again!
