Trust in Luton: Have you renewed?

When Trust in Luton was born in the wake of the John Gurney debacle, Luton fans flocked to join the trust and pay their membership fees. However, it would seem that many may have thought this was a one off payment and have not renewed their memberships since those first days.

The Trust is as vital today as it was then, indeed the 2020 bid was orchestrated by founder members of the Trust Board.

With 2020 taking over the running of the club very soon, the Trust will be given a 1% shareholding in the club with an option to purchase further shares to a maximum of 10% shareholding. This will be an expensive project but the Trust intends to raise funds to do this, in order to keep the fans’ voices heard as the new era develops under 2020.

I have recently joined the Trust in Luton Board and will be involved in the Marketing/PR committee.

If you have not rejoined or indeed have never been a member, I urge you to join as soon as possible.

The aims of Trust in Luton are:

*

To strengthen the bonds between the club and local community.

*

To work for the football and financial success of the club.

*

To uphold and preserve the tradition and heritage of Luton Town, and to secure the clubs long term future in Luton.

*

To encourage and promote supporter representation on the club’s board acting as communication to the supporters.

*

To acquire shares in the club, formally creating a supporters’ stakeholding.

*

To promote coaching schemes to develop the football skills of local young people and promote local interest in football.

*

To raise money in such a way as to promote the aims and objectives of Trust in Luton and to the benefit of the local community, Luton Town Football Club and its supporters.

*

To ensure that all profit is reinvested back into the club.

Members of the Trust Board will be present at the club’s open day on May 10th or you can join by downloading an application form from the Trust website Here:
