So with Newell staying as manager Luton?s next game is a tricky trip to Deepdale on the back of a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the hands of Hull last week

Preston are unbeaten in over 20 matches, their last defeat was at the hands of the hatters at Kenilworth road, a 3-0 win for Luton looking in good form. Picking up points will be tricky but around 750 Luton fans are expected to make the 400 mile round trip to see the match.

Vital Quotes:

Mike Newell from Luton town official site:
?They have been knocking on the door for a few years and I am not surprised they have gone twenty odd games unbeaten.?

‘We won well here, it was a really good victory but they are well organised with good players and it will be a difficult game for us. It is one we must not lose because they will get a little bit further away from us if we do. As with every game we will try and win it.’

Billy Davies from Preston official site:
‘It was a disappointing night against Luton, on the night we didn’t perform. I remember we had a few problems regarding personnel but saying that the performance on the night was very poor so hopefully this weekend we can put in a good performance and try to pick up the three points.’

‘The three points is the most important thing, we don’t owe them anything, we just owe ourselves for the disappointing performance we showed down there, so I think it’s important that we show what we are capable of which we certainly didn’t do at their place.
