Yesterday, down in South Wales, the Hatters carved out a 1-0 victory, against Cardiff City, courtesy of a deft header from Harry Cornick.

The goal was Cornick’s 11th in the Championship this season, making the player Luton’s second top goal scorer, in the Championship, behind Elijah Adebayo, who has notched up 15 Championship goals.

Compared to last season, it represents a remarkable change in fortune for the popular striker.

Last season, Cornick had to be content with just a solitary Championship goal, scored against Bristol City in an away win back in April 2020.

His goal contribution, this season, could prove to be the difference between staying in the Championship and achieving promotion.

Cornick could, in my opinion, be the most improved player in the Hatters squad this season and his contribution, yesterday, was certainly appreciated by the Hatters faithful:

Not sure of that last one, but I’ll not argue too much.
