Am I alone in thinking recent events have been puzzling to say the least?

The last 48 hours, in a supposed United Kingdom, has seen Wales and Scotland deciding that, from Boxing Day, sporting events will be played behind-closed-doors as w seek to halt the spread of the latest variant of the COVID-19 virus.

Meanwhile, our own Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and his team have decreed that no further restrictions will be introduced this side of Christmas.

Does that mean that come the 27th December the government will turn the screws and put us all in something the closest we’ve been to lock-down since the last time?

But, meanwhile, we are faced with the strange fact that our fixture, against Swansea City, will courtesy of the Welsh, be played behind-closed doors, but, however, Swansea City and, indeed, Cardiff City fans are, as the rules currently stand, free to travel to their clubs away games, in England, if they so wish.

You just couldn’t make it up, could you?

my sentiment is our country desperately needs a new, stoic leader, Boris clearly isn’t capable. I would love to see someone with the late Margaret Thatcher’s qualities lead us through these troubled times. Whether the cabinet has such as person is another matter altogether mind.

i don’t think changing leaders is the answer, same can be said of n.j. there are plenty of people capable of leading this country, but would they do any better. i think not.with the constantly changing infections of this awful virus, just buckle up,and take advice when available. in this computer age we all want answers instantly, but a virus has to be studied, which takes time,to get results.don’t forget people are dying. back to football matters, congrats to kal naismith, what a great future he will have. player of the season maybe. Get used to it. Every winter season they will manufacture the latest ‘deadly’ variant narrative and remove your freedoms until you subject yourselves to the latest experimental, immune system busting jab.

All we can hope is more people wake up to the reality of what is actually happening rather than simply what the government and their lapdog media tell you.

    Merry Christmas.
