Luton v Sheffield United – Team Sheets Revealed

The Hatters compete in their first Friday evening fixture of the new campaign, this evening, when they welcome Sheffield United to Kenilworth Road.

The fine away win, against Swansea City, has perked the Hatters support up, Luton currently lie in 18th place in the table, with 5 points from the 5 fixtures played, not the start some would have hoped for but certainly a base upon which to build.

As for our opponents, Sheffield United, they currently sit in top position in the table, having amassed 10 points from their first 5 games.

The statistics suggest that the Hatters face a tough task tonight in front of the Sky TV cameras with the nation watching on from their armchairs.

Last season, the reciprocating fixture ended in a 0-0 draw, personally I can’t see the score line being the same this time around.

With the Hatters facing a tough fixture schedule in the coming days, with a trip to Cardiff on Tuesday evening, it’ll be interesting to see what starting XI the boss opts for.

Any discussions relating to the chosen XI can now be ended as we are able to bring you the team sheets.

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with our visitors, Sheffield United:

As for the officials, look no further:

Referee – David Webb
Assistant Referee – Ian Cooper
Assistant Referee – Graham Kane
Fourth Official – Andrew Woolmer

A second win in the space of a week would be gratefully received by the Hatters support, following the fine win at Swansea in midweek.

As Alan has said an I agree adebayo an Morris don’t work!!! Yet again nj has gone with a favoured player rather than someone else. Sorry Alan but it’s got be said now he does persist with some even when they are out of form. So yet again I will happily eat my words. But this starting line up won’t win. Same as the Swansea game!!!

I have stopped getting excited when Elijah is clear through now… Headers, volleys, one on ones… Nothing on target… More worryingly he is looking bullied all over recently…. Needs a rest up…
Good first half that aside… Need to start leaving some in if ref isn’t going to wise up to these niggles from sheff it’s…

I thought freeman played well for 50 mins. Then tired looks like the injuries have taken some of his stamina. Give him a run of games to rebuild it an Campbell Clark an freeman will be the business in our midfield. Campbell is now lutons matty spring an kev Nicholls. We haven’t had as good a player as him in that vein since kev. Long may he continue. Morris is impressing me more with every game. But play him with anyone but adebayo. He must be rested.
