So, with the rumours of Newell leaving us for another club rife, another important match in our championship season takes place tomorrow, against fellow promoted team from league 1 last season, Hull city.

After back to back wins against QPR at home, followed by the rarest of away wins at Sheffield Wednesday, we go into this game looking for 3 more points, against a Hull side who are not in the greatest of form.

Vital Quotes:

Mike Newell, from Luton official site

‘I don’t see it as a second half of the season though from now on, the law of averages said that we were going to win a game away from home because it wasn’t a case that we were getting trounced or battered. It was just a bit of misfortune here and there but fortunately the home form has been good.

‘We fancy ourselves against anybody in the country on our day and we really believe we could be higher. I know everybody will say that but we genuinely believe we could be higher.’

Peter Taylor, from Hull official site

They were the best team in our division last year and they are doing the best out of the three promoted clubs this year,’ Taylor said.

‘I think Mike Newell’s probably had less injuries than ourselves but they are a good team and it will be a hard test for us.

‘They had an outstanding result in mid-week but we know the situation we are in, we’re in a nervous position and we have got to fight like mad to get some results.’

Luton Town Team News:

Trio Sol Davis, Steve Robinson and Peter Holmes are all still out with knee injuries, Paul Underwood is touch and go to whether he will be able to play after picking a knock up against Sheffield Wednesday Tuesday night.

Player to watch: Steve Howard

The man is on a hunt for his 100th goal, and no shock if it comes today.

Hull City Team News:

Hull are boosted by the return of striker Craig Fagan who was left out against Coventry in midweek following a bust-up with manager Peter Taylor.

Nick Barmby is hamstrung and Ian Ashbee, Stephen McPhee, Danny Coles, Alton Thelwell and Ben Burgess are out.

Player to watch: Craig Fagan

A very good striker, a danger to the Luton Defence.
