As well as looking out for the odd arrival or two today, I’m expecting that there could be several departures, albeit on loan or in permanent deals.
Scanning the internet a few minutes ago, it is being suggested that one of Luton Town’s young midifelders, is set to go out on a season long loan.
According to London News Online, Charlton Athletic are interested in taking Louie Watson on loan.
Watson, still only 22-years-of-age, is unlikely to get much game time at Kenilworth Road this season and having been born, in Croydon, a spell in South London with Charlton Athletic is something he may welcome.
Indeed, a loan deal could be ideal for both parties, Watson, at this stage of his career, needs regular first team football, having featured only 5 times in the league for Luton, and a spell in the EFL Championship will give Luton Town the perfect opportunity to gauge whether he will, in time, have a long-term future at Kenilworth Road.
As is the norm, here at Vital Luton Town, we’ll keep an eye out for confirmation of any deal being done.
