The Hatters welcome Preston North End, to Kenilworth Road, for their third fixture of the 2022/2023 EFL Championship campaign this afternoon.

Now I’m not suggesting there is a crisis looming, but let’s just say that a win, after two draws and a loss in the Carabao Cup, would go a long way to settling any nerves.

Preston North End, in their two opening Championship fixtures, have had two 0-0 draws but did find some form, in midweek, with a 4-1 thrashing, away from home, of Huddersfield Town, in the Carabao Cup.

The weather is sure to play a part in proceedings and, at times, we could see a slow-paced game.

However, we are now able to end any speculation regarding who might play, and he won’t.

With the kick-off fast looming we are able to bring you the team sheets.

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with our visitors, Preston North End:

As for the officials, look no further:

Referee – Dean Whitestone
Assistant Referee – Robert Hyde
Assistant Referee – Adrian Waters
Fourth Official – Chris Pollard

Three points would be most welcome this afternoon, it seems an age since we saw a Hatters win.

Crist almighty keeper calamity keeps his place as back up. What the f**k nj he’s lge2 national league standard. Get a grip nj promote a championship keeper in isted. An before anyone comes out with scot prem player it’s exactly what I’ve called it an I watched it regularly macey wasn’t good enough then. An hasn’t improved. His only grace is he’s not Morrell.

Doesn’t take long to go from hero to zero does it. Adebayo being crucified on twitter. It’s 11 players not 1.as has been said by 2 or three of us none of our strikers look ready yet. An it was poor from us. But look at forest last season. So let’s wait until 15 games gone before we start the nonsense. Having said that Morris still not doing it for me. Has to do a lot more before I believe he’s not been a waste of money like gomes 😂😂😂at least with gomes he’s not been given a chance lol

NJ needs to stop criticising referees..cos they are giving us nothing…teams have sussed us out too…..Adebayo, as I’ve said previously has had is head turned….sorry chris but he doesn’t look bothered…..just my opinion….

Hi Alan, if your right mate and I don’t dispute it. His current performances won’t help him.

if the tactic is to play slowly, lets not fall into the trap. even there manager was smirking at there tactics. score some goals and hope that gets us going. also hope that alan is wrong. something is stopping elijah from performing. morris is not contributing anything at the moment,,hope he can show what he can do very soon, or change him for one of the squad. ithought thats why we have a squad. if alan is right about elijah, i hate to think morris as our main striker. lets not let the timewasting tactics upset the team and supporters. we have lost loads of games, and suffered the upsets, but stay positive, don’t let the timewasters win.COYH.

The big difference with Adebayo the season has been, he doesn’t seem to be on his toes & looking for space as he was last season. Still tries when in possession, but looks uninterested out of it. Obviously the heat didn’t help yesterday, but he looked the same in the other games too. Think Morris will be better if we change shape, in 532, as of yesterday he was dropping deep as a 10. In mo opinion we should play the diamond at home….
