Five games to go and the Hatters Premier League future remains in their own hands.

However we are at the stage whereby we cannot afford to slip-up, especially with the appeals relating to point deductions, involving Everton and Nottingham Forest, still to be heard.

With fifteen points left to play for, everyone has their own ideas as to how many more points the Hatters will need to secure their top flight future, my prediction is 10, which equates to 3 wins and 1 draw.

First up on the agenda is a visit from Brentford.

The West London club should, unless they lose all their remaining games, be safe from the dreaded drop but their recent form infers that they can be beaten.

In the last 5 Premier League fixtures, Brentford have accumulated 6 points out of the possible 15 available whereas the Hatters have taken 4 points out of the last 15.

Every game left to play is being described as a Cup Final and the home games are being considered as the ones Luton Town just have to win, with Everton and Fulham still to visit Kenilworth Road.

At his pre-match press conference, Rob Edwards, with reference to our injury crisis, suggested that only Kabore and Mengi have a chance of returning to the starting XI this afternoon.

With the kick-off fast approaching, we are now able to bring you the confirmed team sheets.

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with Brentford:

As for those officiating, look no further:

Referee – Jarred Gillett
Assistant Referee – Darren Cann
Assistant Referee – Nick Hopton
Fourth Official – Craig Pawson
VAR – Peter Bankes
Assistant VAR – Tim Wood

The odds have been stacked against Luton Town staying up from the first day of the season, but the fact that their future is still in their own hands is testament to the superb work Rob and his backroom team have put in, a win today will give Luton a great chance of retaining their place in the Premier League.

So, how about it lads, let’s get the 3 points on offer with a win andgive every Luton Town fan a perfect start to the weekend.

Our bogey team hit us yet again like Jimbo didn’t think it wise to start some of the injured players.
