After the disappointment of the 6-2 defeat, at the hands of Manchester City in the FA Cup, the Hatters welcome Aston Villa, to Kenilworth Road, this afternoon.

With the Hatters lurking in one of the three relegation places, the Luton Town support will be hoping they can get back to winning ways after a run of 4 straight defeats, 3 in the Premier League and 1 in the FA Cup.

However, in form Aston Villa will provide a stiff test with Unai Emery’s side sitting in 4th place in the Premier League table having won 3 of their last 4 fixtures.

Much has been made of Luton’s injury problems and speculation has grown, over the last few days, as to who will make the starting XI.

Well, with the kick-off fast approaching we are now able to bring you the conirmed team sheets.

Starting with Luton Town:

Continuing with our visitors Aston Villa:

Referee – Michael Oliver
Assistant Referee – Stuart Burt
Assistant Referee – Dan Cook
Fourth Official – Matthew Donohue
VAR – Peter Bankes
VAR Assistant – Mark Scholes

It’ll be a tough game today but perhaps, just perhaps, the Hatters will raise their game to give us all the perfect pick-me-up for the weekend.

Fair play good looking side against villa with all the defensive injuries.

This is a few reflections on last night’s game.firstly don’t play Barkley in the defensive midfield role it hurts us going forward to much. Second after bells injury putting doughty inside an playing ogbene on the left also hurt us going forward. Playing Burke as a stones clone I’m not a fan let him play his own game.then Clark is not fit to play a defensive midfield role don’t play him there either. Now I readily admit in real time a manager has seconds to decide on what to do so these observations are not a criticism of him just my reflection on the game also I readily admit with our squad who can fill the defensive midfield problem my personal opinion is the player most likely to be suited is berry as I see in him similarities with John maginn of villa. But that game was a point thrown away by poor defending.
