Luton Town – Time Could Be Ripe For A Move For Striker

Although, like many others, I’m eager to see who Rob Edwards and his back room team bring in, this January transfer window, the same applies to those who might be leaving.

Over the last couple of days, speculation has started to emerge that Cauley Woodrow could be one of those players now deemed surplus to requirement.

According to Football League World, there is the possibility that Woodrow could be seen, by Ipswich Town, as the perfect replacement for their injured striker, George Hirst.

Since rejoining the Hatters, in the summer of 2022, Woodrow hasn’t quite made the impression he might have hoped for, especially since the Hatters were promoted to the Premier League, last May.

With Rob Edwards prefering to select in his starting XI, the likes of Carlton Morris, Elijah Adebayo and Jacob Brown, Cauley has spent a considerable amount of time on the bench and at 29-years-of-age, probably deserves to see more first team action.

But, perhaps, the big question that needs answering is whether Cauley wants to drop down into the EFL Championship, whether it be with Ipswich Town or any other club looking to rejuvenate their strike force ahead of a push for the EFL Championship Play-Off’s.

It is, clearly, a big decision to make, but can you see Cauley Woodrow leaving this January transfer window?
