Luton Town – Striker Becomes Third Signing In A Week As Premier League Season Beckons

While away on my happy holidays, I had expected the Hatters to make one or two signings.

However, I didn’t expect them to make three signings in as little as seven days, but that has proven to be exactly the case.

Following the confirmation of the deals involving – Thomas Kaminski – and – Ross Barkley – yesterday, the Official Site confirmed that a deal had been agreed, with Stoke City, for Jacob Brown.

Brown, a Scottish international forward, has put pen-to-paper on a deal for the now obligatory undisclosed fee.

But, to me, he wasn’t a name that immediately sprung to mind, upon reading the news.

While with Stoke City, he netted 26 goals in 125 league appearances, not the best of goals to games ratio and I wonder where he will fit in at Kenilworth Road.

Has he the ability to challenge Carlton Morris and Elijah Adebayo, for a striking position, or is his role more of a Cauley Woodrow role, there to put pressure on our current striking duo and, once given a chance, grasp the opportunity with both hands?

Sat here in the editorial chair I’d be interested to read your views in the comment facility beneath this article.

He a very talented player I have to say I’m impressed by the players we have brought in Ross Barkley is the signing that really got me off my seat if he can get to the levels he was at 5 years ago we have a top player who could give us something extra I still think k it’s going to be a slog to stay up but let’s enjoy the ride

You can’t always read into statistics Look at Carlton Morris. He wasn’t prolific before he joined us. A lot depends on the quality of the sides he has been playing in Mark

I went in there some 10 years ago, walked around a rocky headland and it was straight of me, barman had a Luton Town crest tattoo on his leg and the food was wonderful. As for my break it was just what I needed as preparation for a new season.
