Congratulations to all those Hatters who made the long trip to Turf Moor last night, you did the club proud.

On a raw northern night, knowing some kind of result had to be achieved, against Burnley, if those relegation fears are to be eased, it looked very much as if Burnley were to take all three points, courtesy of a goal from Amdouni, in the first half.

Despite best endeavours it looked very much as if Burnley were to be, after Chelsea, the second club to take all six-points off the Hatters this season, following on from Chelsea.

But then, with the clock ticking down and the game deep into stoppage time, came what could, as far as Luton Town are concerned, the most controversial moment of the season so far.

Adebayo challenged Trafford, in the Burnley goal, the keeper fell to the floor and Morris, among all the confusion, netted.

The referee, Tony Harrington, decided it was a goal and the celebrations began, but then VAR, as it always does, felt the necessity to intervene.

After what seemed an eternal wait, the goal was allowed to stand, much to the delight of the travelling Hatters army and the disgust of the Burnley support.

Although I was grateful that the Hatters had equalised, I have to say it was one of those decisions whereby if it had of been against us I’d be bitterly disappointed.

However, history will show that Luton Town battled hard and shared the spoils with a Burnley side that must have thought the points were theirs.

The result gives Luton Town a four-point gap between ourselves and Burnley and we are level on points with Everton, same number of games played, but we have a far inferior goal difference.

But this morning the argument rages on – should our goal have been disallowed for a foul?

I’d certainly be interested to read your views on this most controversial of incidents.

Morning mh, I thought last night’s ref was a disgrace I have never seen a more homer ref in my life!!! If he thought Gunderson was not impeding kaminski he couldn’t penalise ade either.how he did not book Trafford for time wasting I will never know. Yards stolen at throw ins gave them every foul but rarely gave us one. We should have been out of sight in the first half an I still believe we need that bit of quality up front. But we battled an got our just rewards great team performance.

one pundit wondered whether Burnley, the next time they got a throw-in, would have the decency to take it in the same postal district it was awarded in 🙂

I would also add at this time after such a long time out didn’t understand why Clark was given so much time on the pitch he was ineffective and should be used as a sub until he can get up to speed. Not used as a starter my opinion sorry Jimbo 😊

can’t disagree chris. another game we should have done and dusted in the first half. fantastic last minute goal. burnley are annoying with there time wasting tactics, especially the goalie. the throw in’s abuse shows the terrible inconsistencies of referee’s,not just once, but many times. in the end was happy with one point. how many times have we had a player wrestled to the ground & no pen given. then the ADDITIONAL minute against arsenal when they got their winner. So we have been on the wrong end of some bad decisions , hopefully this one helped balance it out . Anyway when a keeper COINSTANTLY comes for crosses he is surely up for a PHYSICAL battle just as as all attackers have to jostle defenders. Whats the difference ? & Eli had his back to the keeper, surely even if he backed a bit its all part of the jostle ?

My 10 year old grandson says it was not a foul and he is a member of the GK Union !
Clarke needs more time on the pitch, it was effectively his start to the season, like all our players he will improve as he has what it takes.
