Luton Town – It Just Does Not Feel Right

The work carried out at Kenilworth Road, this summer, was nothing short of amazing, considering the time period the club had.

To, virtually, demolish the old Bobbers Stand and rebuild it to suit the requirements and necessities of the Premier League was nothing short of miraculous and all those involved deserve the utmost respect.

But other areas of the ground have also benefited from a face-lift, including the main entrance, however, I’m not too sure of the garden-style fence that obscures the view from the road for any youngsters wishing to get a glimpse of their Premier League idols face bitter disappointment.

But, to be perfectly honest, one small change doesn’t get my approval.

Now I know top-flight football is all about revenue streams, with money being a key factor in making progress as a club, but the decision to label the Oak Roas Stand the Dominos Oak, to me, is a little crass.

Okay, I accept that Luton and Domino’s have history with the first Domino’s facility opening in our town but, for me, it just doesn’t sit right, it goes against the grain but, for the life of me, I can’t explain why!

Am I alone in this view or are their others out there who feel it should have been left as it was?

Personally as this is supposed to be temporary until the new ground is built? It’s not a problem I want that built asap. And as our policy which is no gambling adverts which I support anything else is revenue to the club which is good.

Just wanted say, Mike Dean is a watery little turd isn’t he… he says that refs and VAR are correct if they give a penalty, but are also both correct because they didn’t give one… the FA must be failing miserably if their total correct decisions are 95% when everything they do is supposedly correct regardless 🤔 🤣

As someone who has been through those gates in the 70’s and 80’s more times than I can remember, when I first saw it my immediate reaction was 🤦🏻‍♀️ Then I took my old lady head off, and put myself in the now. The now is sponsorship at all levels of all sport, including kids teams. So not so bad, the colours sort of work, and at least it’s not a betting app. And no doubt will put a smile on people’s faces. TBH I’ve never got over it not being the home end anymore 💁🏻‍♀️

I thought its a great bit of marketing and it doesn’t change a thing to us in the end just money along as we don’t go down the road and change the name of power court I am happy. With the var thing it’s still the same as it eas in the 70s ,80s and the 90s the decision still goes against the smaller clubs ie us and then look at some of the decisions for man utd and Liverpool so far it’s still crap .
