I’m sure I’ll not be alone in keeping an eye out for a final score from Berkshire, this afternoon, at around 1700 hours.
After almost a year out of work, after being axed by Southampton after just 95 days in charge, the former Hatters boss, Nathan Jones, has made a return to football management with Charlton Athletic, with his side making the short journey down the M4 to take on Reading, this afternoon
Jones, who had two spells in charge of Luton Town, 2016-2019 and 2020-2022, while also a brief spell on the playing staff back in 1995, will be looking to lift his Charlton Athletic side up the League One table, with the Addicks currently languishing in 19th place just above the relegation zone.
Although Jones opted to leave Kenilworth Road twice, seemingly to better himself at the likes of Stoke City and Southampton, it should never be forgotten the role the Welshman played in guiding the Hatters up the football pyramid.
Since accepting the Charlton Athletic position, Jones has also taken another familiar Hatters face to the Valley, Paul Hart.
It’ll be interesting to see how Nathan progresses down in South London in what, I feel, could be his last throw of the managerial dice if success is not forthcoming.
But the big question is, can he shake-off the managerial curse that has seen his involvement with clubs who play in red and white end so disastrously?
Good luck Nathan from all at Vital Luton Town.

Not really bothered about him. Seems he’s found his level really at clubs where he can build in his image and not have big players who know better at a higher level and can take young players to another level suits him best.

good luck to him. he just needs to improve his interview techniques. COYH.
