Luton Town – A Remarkable Achievement By The Gaffer

The Hatters recent fine form, including remaining unbeaten in the month of January, has seen some recognition come our way.

Ahead of the 2023/2024 season started, Luton Town were the subject of negative comments, with most inferring that we were the worst team to attain Premier League status and we would struggle to beat Derby County’s record low points total and would make an immediate return to the EFL Championship.

Well, I’d like to think we’ve made most of those critics eat their words, even more so with the midweek announcement that our very own Rob Edwards, following our fine recent form, has been nominated for the January ‘Manager of the Month’ alongside the likes of Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.

Who’d have thought that our gaffer would be in such exulted company, even more so with the top-flight of English football being blessed with so many good sides.

Now I’d love Rob to win the award, but on the back of Jurgen Klopp’s recent leaving Liverpool statement, I fully expect the German to gather a collection of awards, assisted by the media, before he departs this fine land of ours.

But, just being nominated shows just how far our little-old club has come in our first ever season in the Premier League.

Congratulations Rob.
