Although the result was not something we hankered for, there were some memorable moments to bring back from our trip to Brighton.
One of those was seeing the Hatters scoring their first ever Premier League goal.
It came from Carlton Morris and, as an added bonus, it came in front of the massed ranks of the Luton Town travelling support.
Trailing 2-0, Luton were awarded a penalty, courtesy of a handball, and Morris coolly stepped up to dispatch it with aplomb, instantly grabbing the ball to get the game restarted as quickly as possible with thoughts of getting on level terms dominating everyone’s thoughts.
Sadly, it wasn’t to be.
But, reflecting on the game, Morris was, in my opinion, the best of the Luton players, his physical strength caused the Brighton defence problems and any doubts as to whether Carlton can make the grade, at this level, have been quashed.
With a place in the record books confirmed, those who frequent social media, were quick to praise Carlton:

Yes, it was great to see Carlton rallying the troops, it was a tough day for Luton Town and a day when leaders, like Carlton, were needed.
Now, let’s just sit back and see if Carlton can reach that 15-goal target mentioned.

To be honest Morris is the only striker we have that I feel will get into double figures an that as I said before the season worries me.
