Luton Town – Another Striker Goes Out On Loan

Yesterday afternoon proved to be a busier than normal afternoon on the transfer front.

As well as Luke Freeman having agreed to leave the club, by mutual consent, it was later announced, by the Official Site that another of our young strikers, John McAtee, had joined Barnsley, on loan, for the season, continuing the healthy transfer relationship that continues to exist between the two clubs.

McAtee, 24-years-of age, joins two fellow Luton Town strikers who have been sent out on loan, namely Joe Taylor (Colchester United) and Aribim Pepple (Bromley).

Last season, after being signed from Grimsby Town, McAtee was immediately loaned back to his former club.

After looking sharp, in pre-season, it looked as if McAtee could be a contender for a place in the Hatters first team squad, but it hasn’t turned out that way.

However, with three strikers now sent out on loan, McAtee, Taylor and Pepple, it’ll be interesting to see who, out of the trio, has the best season, although with 4 goals in 4 games, Taylor already has a head start.

But, out of the three, who do you see having the best season?

Personally I hope all 3 have very successful seasons. I’m also hoping that letting 3 go out a striker or 2 is incoming shortly as we need it urgently.
