It was only this morning that I questioned whether today would be the day.

My article – hopefully-a-manic-friday-awaits-us – queried whether, after having had a medical yesterday, the Wolverhampton Wanderers player, Ryan Giles, would be announced as a Hatter.

Seemingly, my wish was my command with it being announced by the Official Site that the player had put pen-to-paper on a Luton Town contract.

In doing so, Giles becomes our sixth acquisition of the summer as the gaffer, Rob Edwards, attempts to put together a squad not only capable of retaining our top-flight status but also one capable of making an impact.

As is the norm, the fee Luton Town have paid Wolverhampton for his services remains as undisclosed but, here at Vital Luton Town, we reckon its not far from being £4.5 million.

Here at Vital Luton, I’d like to take the opportunity to welcome Ryan to or fine football club and we hope his stay is a joyous and fruitful one.
