Luton Town – Adebayo Is Definitely On The March

Not that long ago, it looked as if Elijah Adebayo would, in our first season in the Premier League, have to be content with a place on the bench.

It appeared that Rob Edwards, looking to play one up front, had decided that our top scorer from last season, Carlton Morris, was his preferred choice.

But, as we all know, things can change very quickly in this wonderful sport of ours.

With the form of Morris dipping, with the striker looking a little tired, Adebayo was given a chance to shine and the tall striker hasn’t looked back.

Reflecting, after the 4-0 thrashing of Brighton and Hove Albion, you can’t help but notice that Adebayo is our leading scorer with 8 goals to his name, eclipsing the 4 Morris has to his name.

Indeed, Adebayo could have 9 to his name, after scoring in the ill-fated abandoned game away to Bournemouth.

But, it isn’t all about goals this game of ours with Morris having provided 4 assists compared to the 0 of Adebayo.

Returning to the early days of the season, I can recall running a poll asking our readership how many goals Carlton Morris would get, in the Premier League, this season, with the article being available here – supports-verdict-on-carlton-morris-goal-target-for-next-season.

But, with Adebayo now back in the team and after his excellent hat-trick, against Brighton, on Tuesday evening, I thought I’d ask the following:

How Many Goals Will Adebayo End Up With This Season?

8-10!

8-10!

11-14!

11-14!

14 or more!

14 or more!

As you said mh, and I warned about Morris before it got to that stage. Morris burned out it was asking to much in this league for a promoted club. You can see now the desire is back an goals will come for Morris if both can get 12 goals an others chip in as well as they have been doing then all will be well.

Carlton was unlucky on a couple of occasions against Brighton. He and eli were a handful all night. Bet Dunk was glad to see the back of them. Constant threat all game…

So after the window closed we signed 2 possible first team additions one loaned back one possible steal youngster. Now I have no complaints about this but why oh why did we sign up the other group an I include the possible steal. Where are they going to play it makes no sense to me . We don’t play enough games for young players to fit everyone in now so all I see is more loan fodder being added to the list also apart from osho non have stepped up to our level money wasted on pepple the cabin boy perriera in wages non look like making the grade.should have gone ages ago.The fans could see they weren’t good enough.Very frustrating

I see nelson has asked for his contact to be cancelled now and it’s been agreed he’s not the first an won’t be the last I suspect. I have to wonder if it’s frustration at no clear pathway from the youth set up ? sorry Alan but what do you think mh.

  • Alan says:

Don’t have to apologise to me. But I do know that if we can stay up this season ( or maybe if we dont) there are plans for the under 21s to be playing more games & in a competitive environment….

  • Chris winter says:

Yes Alan I understand the clubs problem with the council over the new covered pitch. But glad to hear club looking at ways to get more games. As it can only help.
