Ben Alnwick is away on international duty, Chris Coyne picked up a groin injury against Doncaster and will not be available for the JPT match at Gillingham. David Bell, Paul Underwood, Keith Keane, Richard Langley, Sam Parkin and Paul Peschisolido are all out with injury or long term problems.

Kevin Blackwell will use the game to give match practice to some of his perennial substitutes, and could include Paul McVeigh, Don Hutchison, Drew Talbot and Ahmet Brkovic.

Gillingham Caretaker Manager Iffy Onuora had a could be without influential defender Ian Cox who suffered a head injury at Swindon. Midfielders Aaron Brown (groin) and Steve Lomas (hamstring) are doubtful but former Town defender Efe Sodje is likely to play.

Kevin Blackwell told the club’s official website:

‘The Gillingham trip is a game that needs to be dealt with. It’s important that we remain on an unbeaten run as well, that’s for sure. There will be changes to the side. We have been on the road a long time as well so I will have to rest some of the players.’
