Luton – Time To Stick Or Time To Twist – Barnsley (A)

Three games into the new season, two in the Championship and one in the Carabao Cup, I have a question to ask?

With our record, in all competitions, reading WLL, albeit the first loss coming on penalties to Stevenage in the Carabao Cup after numerous changes to the starting XI, does Nathan Jones have a difficult decision to make?

Against Peterborough United, in the first game of the season, the Hatters produced an emphatic performance that suggested 2021/2022 would be a good season.

But now I am not so sure!

Against Stevenage we looked lacklustre and as our performance in the penalty shoot-out, well the less said the better.

Last time out, against West Bromwich Albion, only a spirited fight back, when we were 3-0 down, stopped us from being mauled.

On Tuesday night, we travel to South Yorkshire to take on a Barnsley side that almost gate-crashed the promotion scene last season, it promises to be a difficult fixture.

Last season, the Hatters won at Oakwell, beating the Tykes 1-0 with a goal scored by James Collins, in the reciprocating fixture at Kenilworth Road we lost 2-1 with Collins, again, netting the Luton goal.

Based on our failure to grab anything from the last two games and getting to the crux of this article, if you were Nathan would you stick with the same team or would you make changes for the trip to Barnsley?

Now I accept circumstances are depriving us of certain players but, with a large squad, what would you change, if anything?
