Luton – This Player Is Not The One As Transfer Deadline Looms Large

Today is the day the summer transfer window slams shut after being open for twelve weeks.

It is a day where clubs desperately try to get deals across the line before the 23:00 hours deadline.

Now I am not sure how busy today will be for Luton Town FC.

Will Nathan Jones and his backroom team get that one more deal over the line before the deadline is upon us?

Will a couple of the current squad be allowed to leave to free up space in the squad?

Or will it be a day where our hopes and dreams come to nothing?

Three questions that typically describe the madness of transfer deadline day.

Navigating my way through the early speculation, one article caught my eye.

Lurking in the pages of The Newcastle Chronicle , is the inference that the Hatters have made an unsuccessful, late move for the Newcastle United teenager, Elliot Anderson.

However, it appears that the player, who has been injured and missed all the pre-season build up, is not available.

Was the 18-year-old midfielder Luton’s target?

Was he the one player Nathan Jones was looking to bring to the squad?

If he was/is injured, it seems a strange deal to pursue even more so with the youngster being at a tender age.

All I can advise is to stay tuned and we will see if any other speculation emerges relating to Luton Town.
