Luton – They Played For Both Revisited – Preston North End

Time for me to ask you if you can assist for a second time in another of our regular series.

Back in March 2021, on a previous occasion when we were set to face Preston North End, I published the following article – they-played-for-both-luton-preston-north-end – which contained an XI comprised of players who have played for both Luton Town and Preston North End:

Goalkeeper – POSITION VACANT

Defender – Clarke Carlisle
Defender – Graham Alexander
Defender – Tim Allpress
Defender – Alex Baptiste

Midfielder – Keith Keane
Midfielder – Alan McCormack
Midfielder – Kevin Nicholls

Striker – Jayden Stockley
Striker – Kurt Nogan
Striker – Jake Jervis

Substitute – Darren Patterson (suggested by Danny)

As can be seen, and despite requesting your assistance, I couldn’t find a goalkeeper who fitted the criteria.

Ahead of our trip to Deepdale, on Wednesday evening, once again I’ve dug deep to uncover the name of a keeper who fits the bill, but to no avail.

The only player nominated by those who frequent our site was that of:

– Alec Ashworth

who, unfortunately, I know very little of, so I’m reluctant to change the starting XI I first published.

So, with the fixture rapidly approaching, can anyone out there provide the name of a goalkeeper who does fit the criteria?
