The Hatters welcome Reading to Kenilworth Road, this evening, in a game that is expected to be a close affair.
Back in April 2021, here at Vital Luton Town, we published a – they-played-for-both – with the selected XI (plus substitute) being as thus:
Goalkeeper – Alan Judge
Defender – Jack Stacey
Defender – Johnny Mullins
Defender – Curtis Osano
Defender – Sean Long
Midfielder – Lawson D’Ath
Midfielder – Andre Boucard
Midfielder – David Edwards
Striker – Tony Thorpe
Striker – Kerry Dixon
Striker – Chris Martin
Substitute – Lee Nogan
Following the publication of our article, several of our regulars provided the names of several other players who could / should have been considered.
As a result, I’ve reworked the XI (plus substitute) and it now looks as thus:
Goalkeeper – Alan Judge
Defender – Jack Stacey
Defender – Johnny Mullins
Defender – Gabe Osho
Defender – Sean Long
Midfielder – John Collins
Midfielder – Andre Boucard
Midfielder – Graham French
Striker – Tony Thorpe
Striker – Kerry Dixon
Striker – Chris Martin
Substitute – Lee Nogan
Does the revamped XI (plus substitute) get your approval or would you have made some other subtle changes?
Please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.

Reading matches always brings back nightmares of the 88 Simod Cup Final.
Did Sean Evers play for both?..
Yep, left Luton in 1999 and joined Reading for a reported fee of £500,000
