And so, the Hatters strive for promotion, probably via a play-off place, continues at a pace.
Hard-on-the-heels of the fine win, at Bramall Lane, against Sheffield United on Saturday, the Hatters grabbed another three points with another 1-0-win, last night, this time against Bristol City.
Once again it took a goal from Carlton Morris, as early as the 4th minute, his 16th of the season, to claim the victory.
However, Luton were nearly left to rue the raft of missed chances that could have resulted in a point being dropped.
It’s fair to say the Hatters were far better in the first half than they were in the second and it was one of those games where you didn’t want half-time to come.
The result cements the Hatters place in the play-off zone and with 9 games to go there is now a handy 7-point game between ourselves and the 7th placed team, Norwich City with all the sides involved in the titanic tussle having played 37 games.
Over on social media, it is interesting to see that there is a consensus of opinion that we should have won by a far more comfortable margin and reduced the anxiety levels as Bristol City pushed for an equaliser:
Absolutely smashed them, how we didn’t win by 3 or 4 😂 Cornick by far there best player 🧡

While another couldn’t resist mentioning a topic that had us all laughing when Kal Naismith chose to move from leafy Bedfordshire to the West County:
Great win against the team with best manager in league and better option for making prem lol need to be more clinical when we r on top as game should of been over by half time but can't complain another win another clean sheet

But, as far as social media goes, I’ll finish with a post from a Bristol City fan:
Fair play lads, could have been more than 1-0 tbh, all the best in the playoffs

Thanks, much appreciated.
Next up for the Hatters, this Saturday, is a difficult looking trip to take on Sunderland but would you bet against if finishing 1-0 to the Hatters?

A great performance overall.their keeper an defence strong.. saving two or three certain goals last night.that said I’m worried about the lack of goals from our other forwards apart from Morris .yes he’s only really played ade up front with Morris an ade Woodrow when he gets on need to improve on their goals scored as do others when they get on.
what a good player nakamba is. he just gets his job done, no fuss. he seems to know where to be at the right time. agree with chris that more goals are needed. i am sure they will come. good win last night, solid performance all round. good to see doughty and burke. the crosses and corners were delivered much better, to good effect. still happy with 1-0.COYH.
