For the second successive game, we witnessed Rob Edwards, running towards the Hatters support, saluting not only a win but a more than decent performance.

Long may it continue.

Six points gained in a matter of days, with Luton scoring five times and conceding just once, against two sides tipped to participate in the promotion race, certainly augers well for the future.

Indeed, if we can go to Huddersfield and take the three points on offer, making it nine points from the nine available, it will have been the perfect festive period.

In recent times Loftus Road has been an unlucky ground for Luton, the last time we won there in the league was in 1984 and since then we’ve failed, miserably, on eighteen occasions.

It is no wonder that the social media networks, last night, were alive with jubilant Luton supporters, many of whom, like the posts below, were delighted with the 3-0 win:

Indeed, it was and I’m sure it had many of the armchair support jumping out of their seats as well as those sat in the upper tier of the away end at Loftus Road.

The result also gave the Luton support great satisfaction at having done the double over a club with whom we have had a torrid time with, especially with the events of the fixture of last season:

With the doubles done over Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers, this festive period, here’s hoping we can avenge the 3-3 draw Huddersfield Town earned, at Kenilworth Road, with a win at the John Smith’s Stadium, this coming weekend.
