I have this gut feeling that the Hatters may be sending one or two more fringe players out on loan before the transfer window closes.
Yesterday, as we contemplated the Bristol City fixture, news broke – luton-let-out-of-favour-player-go-out-on-loan – that Carlos Mendes Gomes had been sent out on loan, for the remainder of the season.
I’m not sure it is a decision that surprised me, more of one that disappointed me.
Studying social media, the Hatters support are not short when it comes to wishing Carlos all the best:
Good luck to him. Good opportunity to prove himself

Good luck Carlos, exactly what you need 💪

Regular first team action is, I agree, something that can only benefit Carlos, but other posters touched on a more significant point:
Sad that he never got a chance with us hopefully the loan works out 🤞🏼

NJ going on today about injuries and lack of firepower. Not been given a decent chance to prove himself . Can’t understand how Muske getting game time and staying at the club while we ship this talent out.

You’d have hoped he would’ve had a look in with the rest of our forwardthinking players not hitting a barn door with a banjo at the moment.

Even more so after his stunning strike against Newport County, in the Carabao Cup.
But I’ll leave you with one comment that really strikes a chord:
Have we ever sent anyone on loan that came back and made it in our first team?

Can anyone offer up a name or two?
