Those last few minutes, against Watford yesterday, were, to put it mildly, nerve-racking.
Fingernails were bitten down to the quick and nervous stabs of, in my case, the left-foot, to clear any dangerous balls were the norm in my household.
But, in the end, it was well worth it as the Hatters emerged victorious and claimed bragging results as well as the three points on offer.
After what has been a battling season, beating our local rivals has put the cherry on the cake and it is no surprise that social media was awash with happy Luton fans yesterday evening, as the posts below clearly illustrate:
Best performance all year
Played for the shirt and weβre all so proud of everyone.
Come on you Hatters!!!

Indeed, it was the best I can recall us playing for a long time and it makes you wonder why we cannot play as good as that every week.
But continuing with the social media plaudits:
Cmon the Hatters great win, and well deserved.

We did and it was almost as if Nathan had drummed it into every member of his squad how important a win was.
Also, with the public houses re-opening, I am in no doubt that there were numerous happy Hatters downing a pint or two in the sanctuary of a pub garden and the observation below certainly made me smile:
If you see someone walking round drunk with a huge grin on their face for the rest of the weekend..its a good bet its a hatters fan!

And why not, we thoroughly deserve it after a win like that compared to some of the performances, we have had to watch during lock down!
