Earlier this week, here at Vital Luton Town, we ran an article singing the praises of our summer signing and top goal scorer, Carlton Morris.

Our article – exceeding-expectations-or-living-up-to-the-hype – also contained a poll that I thought contained a very pertinent question.

With Morris in such fine form, in the EFL, I asked whether Rob Edwards should consider resting the player for the forthcoming FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic this Saturday.

The two options provided for the poll were basically a YES and NO but dressed up as:

1 – Yes Give Him a Deserved Rest

and

2 – No He’s Too Valuable To Leave Out

Despite my protestations that he should remain in the starting XI, a massive 89% want to see the striker rested and only 11% agreeing with me.

The starting XI, for the FA Cup tie against Wigan Athletic, may see several changes made, but as a regular visitor to the site, Chris, pointed out, it is the perfect opportunity for Cameron Jerome to fill the void if Rob Edwards decides to rest Carlton.

It’s a catch 22. Striker hitting form, scoring becomes a habit. Maybe start with him, when hes a got hatrick, take him off….lol…

As you say Alan, but do we risk him getting injured for the nothing Cup an losing him for however long. Or risk him later in the league while chasing promotion. I know what I prefer!!!
