Luton Support Believe Midfielder Will Move On

The tail end of last week saw an interesting piece of transfer speculation emerge.

It implied, as covered by Vital Luton Town – luton-to-sell-prominent-midfielder-claim – we could be saying goodbye to Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, a mainstay of the Hatters side since our emergence from non-league football and our climb back into the Championship.

The rumour suggested that three clubs, West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Norwich City, were looking at acquiring the services of the player who is out of contract at the end of the current season.

Always interested to understand the views of our readership I just had to ask the all-important question:

Ruddock Leaving Luton This Transfer Window?

I have to admit the results surprised me with 57% opting for the YES option and only 43% going for the NO option.

Watching Mpanzu in action, in the recent FA Cup clash with Chelsea, I thought he was one of Luton’s best performers and I would be sorry to see him leave, especially after such sterling service.

However, I am realistic to accept that sometimes a player feels he needs a new challenge and also that a player can be moved on to generate funds before he is allowed to leave as a free agent.

With the transfer window open for another week, it remains to be seen how this one pans out!
