Luton To Sell Prominent Midfielder Claim

We are, with ten days of the transfer window open, at that period where rumours start to ramp up about who Luton might be buying or who might be leaving.

Yesterday, we covered – luton-linked-with-another-january-signing – the clubs, apparent interest in the Gillingham captain, Kyle Dempsey, while also covering – luton-defender-set-to-leave-the-club – the possible departure of Brendan Galloway.

Today, speculation has emerged, courtesy of Football Insider 24/7, that we could see a surprise departure in the coming days.

Our referenced source is of the opinion that Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu could be set for a move.

The 26-year-old midfielder is, if our source is correct, said to be interesting West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Norwich City.

It appears the interest has arisen as the player just has six months left on his current deal and the belief expressed is that Luton may be prepared to sell now rather than lose the player for nothing at the end of the season.

In recent seasons Pelly has been part of the fixtures and fittings at Kenilworth Road, having been part of the squad that climbed out of non-league football and into the second tier of English football, the Championship.

For me, to lose him would be a huge blow but, then again, any money received could be used to cure our Achilles Heel, a lack of another striker.

But what are your views on possibly seeing Pelly move on?

Hi mh, while I personally don’t want him to leave. After 6yrs at the club he may feel he needs a new challenge an may have indicated to the club that he won’t sign again. Then it’s sensible to sell now as there is no point in keeping an unhappy player. An as you say hopefully the money will be used to buy a striker.

I Wouldn’t want him to go either, but like chris says you cant blame him if he fancies a challenge.also he is one of only a few who would bring in a bit of decent money….we will have to see….
