Luton boss Mick Harford has revealed that striker Drew Talbot has turned down the chance to sign for Italian Serie B side Brescia.

No doubt impressed by his performance at home against Liverpool, Brescia had shown serious interest in the Ginger Ninja but he has decided to saty and fight the cause with the Hatters.

Harford said in his press conference today:

‘There was an interest in Drew Talbot, but that has all disappeared.

‘Brescia had shown a lot of interest in him, but Drew doesn’t want to go and play in Italy. It is such a short period of time to decide to go and move to another country.’

Harford also confirmed that there has been ‘no significant offers’ for other Luton players as the midnight closure of the transfer window looms. This despite rumours to the contrary that WBA are interested in David Bell.

Harford continued: ‘Some clubs have asked about taking players on-loan but we are not really in the situation to loan anybody out.’

Indeed, Mick seems handicapped enough with the squad remaining without losing any more players.
