Luton sign Lawless

Luton Town have announced the signing of Alex Lawless, a 25 yr-old central midfielder, from York City. he signs initially on loan until January and has agreed a deal to keep him at Kenilworth road until 2012.

The deal to complete the full signing in January involved an undisclosed transfer fee.

Lawless has plenty of experience in the Conference having moved from Fulham as a youngster to Torquay United, before spending three seasons with Forest Green and then signing for York at the beginning of last season.

He is described as a creative central midfielder rather than a stopper and should complement the squad nicely.

He was a regular contributor in helping York City to the play-off finals and played well against the Hatters in all four matches between the two sides.

Richard Money has described a long quest to secure the player’s signature and is delighted with the outcome.
