Luton are reported by Luton Today to be looking at three players in training as manager Kevin Blackwell remains true to his word that he intends to build his own team.

The players concerned are:

Midfielder Martin Brittain, 22, now at Ipswich spent much of last season on loan at Yeovil.

Northern Ireland Under 21 midfielder Daryl Fordyce is a free agent after being released by Portsmouth.

Jamaican Under 21 international Joel Grant, 19, is a Watford player who spent some of last season on loan at Aldershot.

The paper also reports goalkeeper Marlon Beresford, defender Sol Davis and striker Adam Boyd all being officially placed on the transfer list.

Players rumoured to be targets as Blackwell looks to strengthen are former Spurs defender Chris Perry, 34, and goalkeeper Neil Alexander, 29, both released by their clubs, and available on free transfers, although both appear to have drawn Championship interest.

Similarly, Town’s declared target, Millwall midfielder Marvin Elliott has also attracted interest from CCC clubs with Coventry looking the likeliest to snap him up.

Paul Peschisolido is expected to join on Wednesday or Thursday, and there is no official offer on the table for either Kevin Foley or Matthew Spring.
