A team with several first team squad members and two triallists beat Stevenage Reserves this afternoon in a Pontins League match at Kenilworth Road.

Thje triallists were Sofiane Zaaboub, an Algerian defender from FC Brussells, and Ludovic Quistin, a right-sided forward who can also play in midfield. He has good pace and has recently been playing for Dorchester Town after being sacked for misconduct by Havant & Waterlooville in August 2006.

Hailing from Guadeloupe in the West Indies, his playing career has included spells at Gravesend & Northfleet, Kings Lynn and Carshalton Athletic, and trials at Leyton Orient, Wimbledon, Brentford and Falkirk.

The dynamic duo who have not managed a goal between them in the league, (Boyd and Feeney), scored a goal apiece to give Luton a 2-0 lead.

Ex-Town favourite ????? Tony Thorpe turned out for Borough and was usually in the thick of things and hit the bar on one occasion.

However, second half substitute Russell Preston added two goals in the last five minutes to seal a comfortable victory.

Dean Brill, who will likely deputise for the suspended Marlon Beresford on Saturday, got some useful match practice.

Luton Town Reserves: Brill, Keane, Zaaboub, O’Leary, Asafu-Adjaye, Perrett, Brkovic, Stevens, Feeney, Boyd, Quistin.
