Luton – Now That Was Not Too Bad Was It

This time last week, with two home games coming in quick succession, against Watford and Reading, I was a little apprehensive about how Luton Town would fare.

My apprehension was based on our inconstant form and the fact that we were about to face two promotion chasing sides.

I wanted to know if our readership felt the same, so, via our poll facility, I posted the following question:

Two Home Games, Watford And Reading, How Many Points?

I left four option for you to pick from:

6 points
4 points
3 points
• Less than 3 points

I also intimated I believed Luton, as can be seen in the associated article – difficult-days-ahead – would take 3 points whilst not revealing against which team it would be.

With both games over I can reveal I thought it would be reading with Watford being too strong for us.

But, with both games now over, it appears my apprehension before the two fixtures was well founded with 51% thinking the Hatters would win neither game.

Only 14% thought we would win both games, 13% thought we would win just one.

As for the remaining 22%, they got it spot on going for the 4 points option.

On reflection, I reckon the majority of those that voted will be quite pleased with the Hatters taking 4 points against two of the Championships top sides.
