Luton – Nathan Set To Give Us A Clue

This time next week we’ll all be eagerly awaiting the start of the 2022/2023 and our first fixture of the season, at home to Birmingham City.

But tomorrow (Saturday), the Hatters play their last, and most interesting, friendly of pre-season when they welcome West Ham United to Kenilworth Road.

After winning all their other pre-season friendly fixtures, including games against Northampton Town and Peterborough United, the Hammers will provide the Hatters with the stiffest test so far.

However, perhaps the most interesting aspect of the game, could be the starting XI that Nathan Jones selects.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the starting XI could be very close to the one Nathan may go for in the aforementioned opening fixture against Birmingham City.

But could there be a couple of surprises, most notably a place for Don Pereira who has had a decent pre-season campaign?

It’ll also be interesting to see how many minutes Carlton Morris gets, our signing from Barnsley, hasn’t featured as much as I’d have hope since putting pen-to-paper.

Of course, I’m hoping for a Luton win, but it will depend on the strength of the side the West Ham manager, David Moyes, selects.

Morning mh, yes I think that the starting line up will tell us a lot will he go 5-3-2 or 3-4-3. Will perriera get mins that’s the big question. Seen him twice now an he deserves to be around the first team now. But we know nj. Just have to wait an see. Morris always looks busy but can he get the goals we need I reckon 8 this season woodrow 11.

Really excited to see Alan McCormack and Alex Lawless joining Paul Hart’s youth coaching team. Having seen player progression dry up over the last few years this is a real sign of intent and hopefully we can cheer a few of our own again.
