After playing three matches in the space of eight or nine days, we now face a hiatus with our next fixture, against Queens Park Rangers, not being until Saturday.

But what a fixture to look forward to!

The Hatters enter the game on a fine five game unbeaten run while QPR, after a fine run of form, are on the verge of gate-crashing an automatic promotion place.

But, returning to our last fixture, the 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns, against West Bromwich Albion, although many expected us to beat Steve Bruce’s struggling side, I’ll admit I was happy with a point.

It seems it is a view shared by those that frequent social media, as the following posts show:

Although, as one punter pointed out, the draw was significantly enhanced by a result elsewhere:

Another Watford defeat, surely it must be time for another change in their managerial hot seat, after all how long has it been since the last one, two weeks?

Continuing, it appears some Hatters fans are still a little disappointed:

I guess there’s no pleasing everyone!

i am happy with any points. w.b.a. have got good players, thank god they were’nt playing well. winning the second balls is so important. we did’nt seem to be on the same wavelength, as passing and decision making were below par. still a point is a positive. has elijah got a niggling injury. he blows hot and cold in his performances. wonder if our loan players will be back soon.COYH.

Good to keep a clean sheet away from home. So as far as the result goes it was good.

I mean this with no criticism meant towards players or Jones (or even Bruce). The effort was there. Sometimes it just doesn’t happen. Like 2 boxers with styles that don’t lead to much and a ref that won’t let them fight. That was the worst game of football I’ve seen since Luton v Oxford the year we both got relegated to the bottom flight (BFG ended it in charge). Admittedly I don’t watch football on the telly.

One header off the line from Potts, one deflected loop that their keeper tipped over. And they offered nothing more other than falling over every 30 seconds.

One of those things. It won’t always be entertaining. And don’t conflate worst games with a poor performance. We’ve played much much much worse in better games and got stuffed.
