Luton – Meanwhile, That Lot Down The Road

Sniffing around for something to write about I discovered something interesting relating to our friends (not) from down the road.

No Watford haven’t axed Chris Wilder and named another manager already, but it seems they are not a happy bunch when it comes to the April trip to take on the Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

Now Watford are not having trouble selling the tickets, in fact they sold out completely within hours of going on sale.

But is the conditions imposed on ticket sales that have upset their support.

It seems if you want to attend the fixture you have to use the official club transport, costing £15, to get to the game, with no exceptions.

Indeed, they also state that you will not be able to gain admission to our ground if you do not arrive via one of these coaches.

Now, I’ve not got much time for Watford supporters but I can sympathise with their gripe, especially if you live nearer to Luton than Watford, as some undoubtedly do.

The chance of a cheap away day has been crudely removed on the pretext that visiting Luton is akin to taking a visit to somewhere like Beirut!

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be greatly appreciated.
