Lurking in one media source, yesterday, was an interesting suggestion relating to one of our loan stars.

The good folk at Luton Today ran a piece suggesting that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could well be given, by his parent club, Leicester City, a second season on loan at Kenilworth Road.

Since signing on the dotted line, for a season long loan with the Hatters, Dewsbury-Hall has made 32 appearances for the club, scoring 2 goals, and providing a further 4 assists.

The first half of the season saw the 22-year-old midfielder produce some decent displays but, in recent weeks, his form has disappointingly dropped.

Talking about his spell at Kenilworth Road, Kiernan is quoted, by our source, as having remarked:

“Luton’s been fantastic and I’ve said that, I’m not going to have a bad word to say about it.

“If next season Luton were interested again it’s something that I would definitely take seriously, because I feel like I’ve improved as a player here and it’s been good for my development and my career.

“I’m going to take the rest of the season as it comes, try and finish as positive as possible.

“Then if and when it comes to it at the start of next season, for whatever reason, I’ll definitely sit down and take a serious chat with a lot of people and see what’s going to happen for me.”

Now I believe it would be good for Luton Town if Dewsbury-Hall was around next season, but one thing troubles me.

Before he was allowed to go out on loan, Kiernan signed a new 4-year deal with Leicester City and he is highly thought of by the Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, but if he is allowed another year on loan, he would be 23 before he returned to the King Power Stadium, which would suggest to me that Leicester City might view the 2021 / 2022 season as Dewsbury-Hall’s breakthrough season in the Premier League.

That is my view but what is yours on the above subject matter?
