Luton – Loan Defender Recalled

It was only a couple of days ago that we featured an article on a young defender out on loan.

Our article – the-first-of-many-we-hope – covered the fact that young Corey Panter had made his first Scottish Premier League appearance of the season, for Dundee, against Aberdeen.

We finished our article by promising to keep abreast of how the youngster was doing, north of the border.

What we didn’t expect was to report, so soon, that Corey’s spell with Dundee had been brought to a swift end, as confirmed by the Dundee Official Site.

After 1 league and 1 cup appearance, Corey is now back at Kenilworth Road.

Now, now, we can only speculate as to why he has returned to Luton.

Could it be that it was felt he wasn’t being given enough exposure north of the border, or, perhaps, the current ongoing COVID situation meant it was felt he may be needed to wear a Hatters shirt over the next few weeks as the fixture congestion starts to bite.

Or is it simply a case of the defender being recalled so he can be loaned to another club where he will get regular first team action.

I guess, in the coming days, we will find out.
