Earlier this week, here at Vital Luton Town, we reported on how media speculation was linking the Hatters with another signing.
Our article – luton-linked-with-former-fulham-player – covered Luton’s reputed interest in the Lincoln City player, Tay Edun.
At the time of reporting, it was being touted that both Luton and our opponents on Saturday, Peterborough United, had made bids, of an undisclosed size, for the player.
Today, the inference being given by The 72 and as plucked from the pages of
Peterborough Today, Peterborough have pulled out of the race to sign the 23-year-old, which means that, if the speculation is correct, Luton are in pole position to sign the former Fulham youngster.
But, weighing up the situation, I am not convinced we need another left back or left-sided player, therefore, I would have to say I would be very surprised if a deal were to be announced before the summer transfer window closes at the end of this month, as we have more than adequate coverage on that area of the pitch.
However, I have been wrong before and I am sure I will be again, so I will keep an eye out for further information relating to a prospective deal.

Can run with the ball, good tackler and can hit 30 yard passes.
A lot of potential and looks in line with what a current Luton signing looks like.
He was with England up to U20’s and was arguably one of Lincolns best players last season who would be playing championship football if they didnt lose to Blackpool.
But does he fit into the ‘special’ category Nathan mentioned when he discussed Luton’s incomings as being completed?
