Luton Linked With Former Fulham Player

Only recently, Nathan Jones inferred that his summer transfer business, as far as incoming players go, was finalised.

Although he did add that was the case unless a special opportunity arrived.

But could that opportunity have now presented itself?

The reason I ask is that the good folk at Football Insider are running with the inference that Luton Town, and our opposition on Saturday, Peterborough United, are interested in acquiring the services of Tayo Edun and that the Hatters have made a bid for the player.

Eden is currently on the books of Lincoln City, having started his career with Fulham. Last season the 23-year-old made 53 appearances, scoring twice and providing seven assists for Lincoln as they just missed out on promotion to the Championship.

But what makes Edun a special opportunity?

It could be his versatility with the player able to play at left-back, as a defensive midfielder or on the left-side of midfield.

After assuming that Luton had finished their recruitment campaign for this summer, it is my opinion that any speculation linking the player with a move to Kenilworth Road may just be that.

Although you never can tell these days, the Hatters might well be looking to bolster their squad further and if they can get Edun for a fair price he may well become a fixture at Kenilworth Road.
