They say a lot can happen in football, in a week, and they are not wrong are they?

I wonder if Mick Harford had any inkling, after the win away to Blackpool, that he’d be in charge this afternoon when Luton take on Rotherham United in their last Championship game before the World Cup mid-season break?

When Mick walks out on to the Kenilworth Road turf, in charge for the umpteenth time it seems, I’m sure he’ll get the rousing reception he deserves.

But, in what looks like a difficult fixture, with Rotherham being no mugs, how does the fixture pan out?

According to Sky Sports resident pundit, David Prutton, it won’t be a decent outcome with Prutton tipping Rotherham to pinch this one 2-1, remarking:

“It is a bit gutting for Luton to lose Nathan Jones, but they have survived and thrived without him before and there is no reason they can’t do again. Although it was starting to look like another really promising season for them.

“Rotherham will be on a high after winning at Sheffield United for the first time in more than 40 years and will be hoping to capitalise on the upheaval at Kenilworth Road.”

Thankfully, the Luton support, in our match poll, have a different view with 71% opting for a Luton win compared to the 20% who see this game as an away victory with the remaining 9% seeing it as ending all square.

But what does the last 5-games form guide tell us?

Well Luton have taken 5 points from the last 15 available while Rotherham have accumulated 4 points from the last 15 available.

As I said earlier, it’ll be a tough game but I’m taking the Hatters, buoyed by Mick Harford being in charge, to win 2-0.

But how do you see this one going?
